About Frank

Frank Serio is a well known and respected photographer who
specializes in capturing bluegrass and acoustic roots musicians. 
Frank has amassed a large collection of exceptional photographs captured at the many festivals and shows he has attended in his 15 years in the business. His work has been published in a variety of magazines, appeared on websites, and used as CD artwork.
He has been the staff photographer for both SpringFest and MagnoliaFest in Florida since their inception. He is also the staff photographer for the String Break and Riverhawk festivals in Florida, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in upstate New York, and HickoryFest in Wellsboro Pennsylvania. He regularly covers other festivals up and down the east coast including Merlefest in North Carolina and Harvest Fest in Georgia.  He frequently collaborates with Deena Hudson.

It was his love of music that inspired him to concentrate on archiving acoustic musicians at various festivals around the country.

Frank is also a songwriter and has collaborated with many fine and well-known musicians, including Verlon Thompson, Shawn Camp, and Claire Lynch and was honored by seeing one of his songs place second in the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting contest.
