Find Your Angel

Find Your Angel is  a unique, and exciting new musical project written and performed by Grammy nominated songwriter Verlon Thompson (Guy Clark's touring partner) and three-time Florida Fiddle Champion Sue Cunningham of the Hickory Project and The Rowan Cunningham Band.  This concert performance is part theatre and part historical literature and features Verlon on guitar and narration, and Sue on fiddle, with lead vocals and harmony singing from both.

Find Your Angel is a riveting musical portrait about a courageous young woman named Lorena, from Vicksburg, Mississippi and her life before, during and after the Civil War. With the introduction of Lorena, listeners are drawn into a woman's story of struggle and survival equal to any on the battlefield. All the words and music of this poignant original story were created through a collaborative effort by Verlon Thompson, Sue Cunningham and Frank Serio. This brand new, unique musical performance brings Lorena's spellbinding story to life!
